The Trane BAYFTFR17M2 compatible replacement filter is for use in the enclosures Trane Perfect Fit, Trane Air-Tite, American Standard Perfect Fit, American Standard Air-Tite TFM175B0FR0. This filter is made with a double wall moisture resistant frame and a MERV 11 filter media rating for the reduction of airborne particulates. It has a MERV 11 filter efficiency, which indicates how minute the particles are that can be trapped by this filter. The higher the value, the smaller the size of particles filtered. To further increase filtration, it has a deep pleated rather surface than a flat one, thereby increasing the filtering surface area. With a MERV 11 value, it efficiently traps airborne particles such as dust, pollen, dust mites, animal dander, lead dust, mold spores, car fumes and other particles as small as 1.0 microns while allowing a free flow of fresh cleaner air. An additional benefit is that an air filter will also extend the life of your heating and cooling system by making it work more efficiently by preventing the accumulation of particles that settle on the evaporator and condenser coils.
